English lenguage challenges

 a) How did you like this subject at university? What about the use of blogs?

I think that learn english in the university is very nice. Even that initially there were many failings in the system, I believe that now is already and it is working very well.

I also think that the blog is a good way to learn english, and is very entertaining blogging (I had never done that before). But there are times when the topics are very boring and often cumbersome to get to write about things like that, like this topic, in english speaking about english is very boring, I think if you were talking about another topic it would be much easier to write .
I think that the blog it's so good to learn english, when we can talk about what we want i'ts more nice, and in the same time learn other lenguage. So thanks for this, because if you don't force me to do that, I was never do it.

Good and bad points.

2013:

This year it is so important for me, this is because I have some reasons for that.
For example, this is de last year of my career, if you think, we have been "educated" more than seven years in the college, and I dont talk about the pre-college, then that I started my continous education at the university, I was start in 2008, so, I have spent over 13 or 14 years educating myself in institutions.
I think is time to live other things, catch the Learned and start to live with that and with some new things that are not taught in the institutions.

Other important thing for me, it is that I went away to living alone, not alone really, because I live with 2 other persons, but this humans are not my relatives and I had never lived alone previously. And now I am in charge of my life without depending with anyone. I think this is important. And, of course, for that I have a new job, steady job, and I work with new people (before that I was work alone, with my music in a white room in where I maked chocolate, just doing chocolates without interacting with anybody.

I want to return to the previous topic, about the studies. I want to emphasize the importance of this, Also for being last year, one is forced to decide what we gonna do in the future, and I thought a lot and I think I will focus on teaching children to classes, kids or teenager. This is because I believe (thanks to the bad education that we have in Chile) I want to devote to dealing with children to try to give them as much knowledge of those that do not provide the majority of schools.

I think this year it been like an another stage, like the end on one stage and the beginning of another and I feel so good with this. 

5 Gyres - Garbage islands.

Probably not many people think where it is going to stop our garbage beyond the dumps of garbage, I don't know really where are all of these garbage of the world, but I know some place in where are some garbage: in the ocean.
In our world exist five gyres of garbage product of the extent and effect of the pollution, and that are floating in our oceans, and we ignore that the most big of these "islands" are in our ocean, the Pacific ocean. The name of this gyre is The Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a zone of the North Pacific ocean in where our garbage is accumulated in gyre form, this is created by the marine currents, the coordinates of this gyre are 135 º to 155º0 and 35 º to 42ºN, it has a size approximately of 1.400.000 km ². We might think that this waste is marine waste and that they come from the ships, but it is surprising that the major quantity of this waste come from the continent, and that the majority of the gyre of garbage is composed by plastic. This island of garbage is difficult to detect by means of photos satelitales and radars, this is in spite of the size and density of the "island".

The Earth is not green and blue

The collective Imagination of the society created by the images, it makes us think about the Earth as a piece of land of rounded form, with blue sea and land with pieces of green and brown, and of course, his two white poles.

It is what they have showed us, the terrestrial globes, the maps, etc … they show it with these characteristics.
Today with the new technologies we can obtain photos of the Earth of high definition, and by means of the satellites we can see photographs showing places a short distance observed from the air.

On the other way, also there are images that show places that not necessarily are controlled by the man, but that show figures and colors of the nature that are unimaginable, the figures shown are nothing like what we know as a Terrestrial Globe, this pics open another possibility to imagine the entire Earth to unite all these images. Maybe some day the kids will make draws and paintings of the Earth with the true colours, and with the true form, like as in México, in that country the chilldrens paint the city on grey colour, this is because the pollution in there.

Mulholland Drive

Today I want to talk about some movie, the film of David Lynch "Mulholland Drive".

I want to talk about that because we saw that movie in another class, and this is so interesting, because in that class we talk about Freud. And the movie it’s more amazing when we see this thinking of Freud.

The movie is very confusing, as like a dream, well, the movie it is a dream really, not all the movie (I think that), but the most part of that. In the movie are a lot of symbols, signs and meanings. This it’s so important, because I think that when Lynch makes a movie, he does not do anything without thinking in that.

Well, the movie is the dream of a woman who has killed her lover (female) with a hitman; this was done when she knew that she would marry with some director of movies, and the signal for when the hitman kill her was a blue key. Then that, she was in home and she saw the key in a table, and then that she started the dream. In that dream, in the dream she is projected as another person, an opposite person, a successful person. And, totality opposite way as the reality, she help her lover to survive, and was other humans who want to killing her.

So, I will not tell you the ending of the movie or more details, I can only recommend you to see that.

Banksy on the streets of New York

One article of The Guardian said: "Banksy was selling original paints in Central Park, NY".



The British graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter.

On Sunday Banksy was appeared in the park with some of his paints (stencil), the Price of that was $60 a piece. The paints had a sign saying"100% original" Banksys.

The people in the park did not believe this, but was true.

Like in Chile, in United States the artist can't sell on the street, and, because that, Banksys was underarrest, and the cops confiscated their work.

 Banksy always have an antagonistic relationship with the law, and this is not a problema for him, is part of his work.

The cops banning them from the park in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But in the same way of graffiti artists, he have benefited, his art are chic, the beau monde never hired street vendors to give them some rebellious cool.



Retba

Maybe we don´t know much about the world, sometimes I think that we don't see the world really, especially the persons who live in the city, like me. And this is because we live here, in the cement city, far away of the royal nature.

With Internet we can "visit" some places, which maybe we never can't visit, and is difficult to imagine places like that if we don't live in those countries.

For example, exist some lake in Senegal, the name of the lake is Retba, and the color of this lake is pink. The color pink is because the water has a Dunaliella salina alga and that produce a red pigment whose make a pink color.
The color of the lake changes because this microorganism needs sun for energy. When the sunlight is more, the lake is more pink. So, because that in dry season, the lake is more pink that any thing of the world.
